Conference Identity

Tasked with creating a complete identity for a music engineering conference, I aimed to capture the dynamic energy and controlled chaos of DJing and mixing. Initially, my focus was on honoring hip-hop and R&B production. However, through experimentation and iteration during the design process, I ultimately shifted my focus to house music, inspiring the name House of Bass.

I began by designing a single large graphic with the intention of using sections of the graphic across all collateral created for the conference. The final graphic incorporated different textures, colors, photographs, and custom illustrations reflecting the layered nature of house music. Following my graphic’s completion, I went on to develop a range of collateral, including conference banner, entry tickets, a conference pamphlet and a street sticker. Each piece was designed to cohesively represent the essence of the conference and its overall theme.
