Passion project

The three pieces created for this project were designed to highlight Logan, a friend who was just beginning to develop his modeling portfolio at the time. All photos used in these graphics were captured by Delaney Viau, a Detroit-based photographer.

Since this was a passion project, my goal was to experiment with various color palettes, mockups, and formats to create designs that reflect my personal style—without being bound by specific criteria.

The poster, the original piece in this collection, was developed through a process of layering and color experimentation. I aimed to find the perfect color palette to complement Delaney’s photography and the overall tone of the project. I ultimately chose burgundy for its bold yet muted quality. To balance the composition, I used an off-white typography color—softening the text’s impact and keeping Logan as the focal point.

For the second graphic, I took a more minimalist approach. This decision allowed the photograph to stand on its own while still maintaining cohesion with the original poster. I incorporated sharp angles to contrast the softness of the first design, emphasizing the strong demeanor of the image.

To complete the collection, I compiled the pieces into a photo book mockup. The intent behind this final piece was to present the designs in conjunction, showcasing both their shared and distinct elements as a unified whole.
